Procrastinate no more! Let’s get you on your way to an RV journey. There are a few questions to ask yourself before you get started…
Do You Have All the Information You Need?
Purchasing an RV requires a lot of knowledge and expertise. Understanding how an RV operates, how to maintain the systems, and what features your family needs are key factors to consider.
Get started by doing some research. Check out books about RVing and make notes of helpful tips shared. Speak to avid RVers by heading to your local dealer or even by joining Facebook groups. Ask as many questions that come to mind. It’s important to be informed so that you can make the right decision for your future.
Should You Have More Experience?
When it comes to navigating the open road in an RV, having too much experience is never a bad thing. You want to be sure you feel comfortable and equipped to set out on your journey.
If you’re hesitating to purchase the RV of your dreams, why not start out by renting? Get the feel for what it’s like to be in the RV. Do an easy sleepover even if it’s just in your driveway. You’ll quickly get an idea of what features are more important than others. This will help you focus in on what you truly want/need when you do purchase an RV.
Keep in mind there are plenty of driving schools and online courses you can take to help get you more hands-on experience too.
Is your boat ready for summer yet? As many avid boaters begin to prepare their watercraft for a fun season ahead, now is the time to ensure everything is working safely and securely. Aside from following an overall preparation checklist, one of the most important things to review is your electrical connections.
If you’re still operating your vessel with the outdated twist type connector OR if your current shore power system shows signs of a loose connection, rust, burns, or weathering, it’s time for an upgrade.
After much strategic planning and thorough testing, we are excited to share our variety of new products designed to keep all aspects of your marine experience safe. These include:
Dock and lift kits
Receptacles
Weather doors
Eaton Lighthouse conversion kits
Marina cordsets and power adapters
And of course, we still offer our original lineup of revolutionary cordsets, inlets, marine power cords, and shore power kits.
We’re excited to launch the newest product to our lineup – the SUPERFLEX50 50A 125/250V. While most power cords become stiff in extreme weather conditions, this revolutionary product remains incredibly flexible in extremely hot conditions and even down to –58° F.
SUPERFLEX50’s covering is made from supple 100% Seoprene® Thermoplastic Elastomer. Inside is pure stranded bare copper and #6 wire. The combination ensures maximum electrical transfer and the utmost flexibility needed for easy handling. SmartPlug System’s SUPERFLEX50 can be used on standard marina 125V or 250V four-plug connections. It has dual LED power lights and is available in 25’ and 50’ lengths.
Unlike traditional twist-style connections that are hard to align and thread, the asymmetrical SmartPlug pushes straight in. Dual locking clips and the inlet cover remove tension from the pins, holding the cord securely in place. Triple waterproof seals ensure a dry connection and protect internal elements from contaminates.
